• Over Charging: We can overcharge our smartphone's battery by charging it over the whole night which is the most common reason for the battery failing we also keep putting it on the charger until it is charged to 100 percent. According to my point of view, this is wrong

Solution: Don't charge your phone to 100 percent keep it in the range of 90 to 95 percent also don't charge your smartphone the whole night I would recommend keeping it on standby at least in the night it will extend your battery life.

• Keep using while charging: Many of us keep using their cellphone while it is charging which has a great effect both on battery life and smart phone's life it may increase the chance of battery explosion and can lead you serious injury.

Solution: Prevent using your phone while it is charging to prevent the battery from the explosion and also to keep yourself safe and secure.

• Battery heating while charging: If your battery heat during charging then most likely it also causes your battery health to fall very quickly.

Solution: If your cellphone's battery heating during charging then when you feel heating then remove the charger and allow it to cool down and then put it back to the charger if you want.

•  Using fast or quick charger: Are you using a fast charger or trying to charge your phone with a high voltage if yes then you are doing a mistake at this stage.

Solution: Stop using a fast charger on a standard phone(If your phone does not support it) because using a fast charger can damage the cells in the battery and also does not charge the battery properly which leads to damage to your phone's battery.

• Using third party Charger: Using other company or third party charger also affect the battery life which can be the cause of battery failure

Solution: Stop Using such a charger and use the genuine charger which comes with the smartphone because other chargers might give high or low current or even some chargers do not give constant current which can damage your smartphone internally.

• Customs Rom's: Customs Rom in the phones is also a major issue of the battery dying because it has poor optimization's especially for batteries 

Solution: If you have installed custom Rom or TWRP in your android system then you have to uninstall it and flash your phone with official android firmware downloaded from your system company if you don't know how to flash a device then go-to technician.

• Rooted Android Device: Rooting android device's also has a great effect on cellphone's battery life and also break down the security of android device which lead into getting viruses and malware.

Solution: 

UnRoot your device through the application. where you have rooted first and be sure to uninstall that application after you unroot your phone.
